Introduction + Philosophy +Story
OVA: Sowing the seed of the self is a deeply personal project initiated and founded by Afrah Futun. Born out of a period of introspection and silent self-work, OVA represents Afrah's journey to create a space for self-discovery, dialogue, and collective transformation. The project reflects her quest to explore the profound questions that have shaped her life and the lives of many women in society.

Afrah's vision for OVA is realized through two major undertakings: OVA-Dialogue and OVA-The Retreat. Together, these initiatives represent her commitment to creating spaces where women can explore, share, and transform. OVA is not just a project; it is a movement towards greater self-awareness and collective empowerment.

OVA is born from a deep respect for the strength, resilience, and creativity inherent in every woman. The name OVA draws inspiration from the biological term "ova" (egg), symbolizing the beginning of life, potential, and creation. Just as the egg marks the genesis of life, OVA aims to be the starting point for a profound exploration of womanhood in all its forms.

At its core, OVA connects individual women's narratives to universal themes of existence, creation, and the cycles of life. The project embraces the idea that every woman's story—no matter how unique or commonplace—holds within it seeds of wisdom, insight, and inspiration. OVA is not just about storytelling; it's about creating a dialogue that spans generations, cultures, and experiences, revealing the interconnectedness of all women.
OVA Envisions
A world where women's voices are not only heard but celebrated for their depth and diversity. It is a project that honors the complexities of womanhood, acknowledging both the struggles and the triumphs that shape a woman's life. Through OVA, we aim to document and share these stories, creating a living archive of women's expressions that can inspire and guide others.
Look beyound the gender,
Look at the person.

Look beyound the person,
Look at the human being.

Look beyound the human being,
Look at the bond.
